Mana: Represents the energy required to play cards. Each card has a mana cost. The power level of the card will dictate how much essence is required to play the card.
Rarity Levels: Cards come in various rarities, affecting their pull rate in each pack opened as well as mana cost:
Common (Green)
Uncommon (Blue)
Rare (Yellow)
Ultra Rare (Pink)
Legendary (Red)

Attack Power: Determines the damage a card can inflict on opponent cards or opponents directly.
Health Points (HP): Indicates a card's durability as well opponent's avatar life points. A card is destroyed when its HP drops to 0 and a game is won when the opponent's avatar hits 0.
Card Abilities: Unique skills or effects activated under specific conditions, adding strategic depth to gameplay.
Heroes (Main Character Cards):
Description: Each deck contains 1 Faction Hero. This is chosen by the player, a Hero will be picked based on its passive abilities that best assist the player in running their faction-based or hybrid deck strategy.
Heroes are cards that must be assigned to each deck but do not count towards the 40 playable cards. Heroes are the player's in-game leader that serves both as a Catenian as well as provides passive abilities throughout the match.
Each Hero starts at Level 1 with 0 Attack/ 40 HP and depending on the faction, will have a different passive effect.
Heroes are upgradeable throughout the game, requiring 4/6/6 of the same faction cards to be played to reach the next level. A Heroes max level is 3 and their effect will vary depending on their level.
Catenians
These cards have a vast range of effects deriving from the WITS lore. A player can construct an entire faction-based deck or hybrid. Each method has its unique benefits.
Common Cards (Catenians)
Description: The backbone of any deck, Common Catenians are the fundamental units in WITS TCG. These cards offer a variety of basic abilities and stats, providing essential strategic options for players. With balanced Attack and HP, they form the core of your gameplay strategy.
Uncommon Cards (Catenians)
Description: Uncommon Catenians introduce more complexity and versatility to your deck. These cards often feature unique abilities or enhanced stats, giving players an edge in specific situations. They strike a balance between accessibility and tactical depth.
Rare Cards (Catenians)
Description: Rare Catenians are powerful and less frequently encountered. They boast significant abilities and stats that can turn the tide of a game. These cards are prized for their potential to execute game-changing strategies and powerful combos.
Ultra Rare Cards (Catenians)
Description: The pinnacle of rarity, Ultra Rare Catenians are highly sought after for their extraordinary abilities and stats. These cards are game-defining and can dramatically alter the course of a match. Collecting and utilizing these cards showcases a player's prowess and strategic mastery.
Legendary Cards (Catenians)

Mythic Cards (Catenians)
Description: Mythic Catenians are the rarest and most powerful cards in the WITS TCG universe. They are the stuff of legends, offering unparalleled abilities and stats that can dominate the battlefield. Mythic cards are exceptionally difficult to obtain, making them the ultimate prize for collectors and players seeking to master the game. Utilizing these cards often requires deep strategic insight, as they can define the outcome of a match with a single play.
Relics (Artifacts):
Description: Relic cards have equip effects and range in ability, they are comprised of both instant and passive boosts. Relics, once attached to a minion, catenian, or champion, stay equipped to the respective card until it leaves the field (destroyed or returned to hand).
Sorcery (Spells):
Description: Spell cards have instantaneous effects, meant to be used on the players' turn. Ranging from attack/hp boosts to armor boosts, card searching, mana boosts and more.
Traps (Secrets):
Description: Trap cards have delayed effects and cannot be triggered on the turn they are played unless specified by a Catenian's effect. Trap Cards are meant to assist the player in preserving their on-field resources while also thwarting the opponent's cards.
All available cards can be used in a player's deck.
Each Deck consists of 40 cards + 1 Champion.
Up to 3 copies of any card can be used in a deck unless otherwise noted as semi-limited, limited & banned. (This applies to online modes only (multiplayer & ranked)

Each card in the WITS TCG has a mana cost (located in the top left corner of every card)
Players start the game with 2 mana, increasing by 1 naturally every turn.
Mana is regenerated back to full at the beginning of each turn. Unutilized mana in the previous turn does not carry over to the next.
As the game progresses, players will build their mana reserves, allowing them to play increasingly powerful cards and utilize the deck's full potential.
The primary goal in WITS is to reduce your opponent's Champions health to zero OR your opponent runs out of cards in their deck. Simple? Yes
There are multiple strategies in the game to achieve this goal. Depending on the player's playstyle, each faction's abilities will help you achieve this in different ways. Do you like to play the long or short game anon? Understanding of faction's various mechanics will be a key skill in being successful in competitive play.
Strategy: Utilize cards to attack the opponent directly or strategically dismantle their defenses.
Objective: Reduce your opponent's Avatar HP to 0.
Faction Boosts: Cards may have synergistic effects based on their lore or origin in the WITS story, encouraging thematic deck building, players who make "pure builds or "hybrid builds" will see faction boosts to other cards on the field.
Chain Reactions: Chain reactions refer to the sequence in which effects are activated. Chain reactions are caused by Catenian effects, sorcery & traps. The player must play their cards right, to properly utilize chain reactions to their benefit.
Lore-based Abilities: Abilities and effects inspired by the rich lore of WITS, are given to certain cards in the game adding extra depth to the gameplay and immersing the player into the story.
Adaptable Rules and Card Effects: WITS TCG is designed for expansion and adaptability, with new sets and rules introduced regularly to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging. To maintain both fun and competitive gameplay, the WITS TCG is committed to periodically reviewing the state of the game, introducing new rules, reviewing card effects that may be overpowered and ruin the game, and revising game mechanics.
